GOOD
I really love wing specials around town. I mean what more can you ask for, a crap ton of wings for a bill that is under $20.00. If you go over to Irish Channel on a Sunday they have a wing special that is .50 cent wings with a minimum of at least ten wings (who would order less is what I want to know). The wings that Irish Channel has are buffalo wings that is known as a “traditional favorite”. The wings are served with celery sticks and carrots, for those who like veggies with their meat, a side of blue cheese and an empty bowl for the bones. I was really pleased that they gave us the discharge bowl because I really hate sharing a huge platter of buffalo wings and getting the little shit bread plates to balance my mountain of gnawed bones on. The wings themselves when they came out where a decent wing size, not too small and not overly huge…like goldilocks says, they were just right. As for the flavor the wing sauce itself was spicy but not overbearing. It was a good wing for an all night game watch or hanging out with your friends which we, Maggie, KLW, Becca S., Rob, Clay and I were doing. As Clay pointed out the wings had good flavor but really needed to be crispier. The sauce was good but made the skin on the wings get soggy and not as appetizing causing the rating of these wings to drop a bit. I would love to rate them higher since they are not breaded and have great flavor but the sogginess of the wing did take away from the great buffalo flavor they have here. Would I go back… hard to say, if I went back I would order take out the service was a little subpar, and I really hate getting wings to-go since having them sit in a take-out container can make them get soggy too. Overall the flavor of these wings were pretty good they just needed to be crispier. GOOD
