Logan Tavern

GOOD
1432 P Street NW

I love when I get to see friends from out of town and they are down with me eating wings.  This is just what happened when Trista came to town.  Trista is a friend of mine from college who was in my sorority who came down for a bachelorette party and was able to meet up for dinner Friday night after she drove in from Philly.  It was great being able to see her that evening to catch up on everything that is going on in her life and the boring not changing life I have, haha. We decided to walk down the street to Logan Tavern since it was A: close B: nice outside and has outdoor seating C: has wings I had yet to try. I ordered the Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese.  When they came out they were definitely a decent buffalo wing but where not your everyday bar/tavern wing.  There was something different about these wings.  I am not an expert on spices but these wings tasted and also looked as if they had celery seed in the buffalo sauce.  I am not positive there was celery seed in the sauce or if it was sprinkled on after they were cooked but it sure tasted like it.  It would make sense to add celery seed to a buffalo sauce since people eat celery sticks dipped in buffalo sauce with their wings, why not just add celery seed to the wings themselves.  If I am correct and it was actual celery seed in the buffalo sauce or sprinkled on top it was an interesting and nice touch.  If I was wrong and it was another spice it was still interesting and added flavor.  I would recommend trying these wings out just see if you can figure out what spice they are using in their buffalo sauce and they are pretty decent every day buffalo wing.
