Mad Fox Brewing Co.

GOOD/EXCELLENT
444 West Broad Street, Falls Church VA

Donna, Liz and Scott were heading to Mad Fox Brewing Co. out in Falls Church, VA to try their sampler of beers. They also wanted to refill the growler that Liz had so they could take home their favorite beer that was on tap (FYI the favorite was the Double IPA). I decided I wanted to go along for the ride and since I can’t drink the beer I was the designated driver. I would recommend having a DD when going to this establishment because it is not that close to the metro and the beers are apparently really awesome! The table thought it would be a good idea to order some food to go along with the beer so we ordered some wings. Mad Fox Brewing Co. offers two kinds of wings Buffalo and BBQ, so of course we got them both.

1. Buffalo Style- These wings when they came were a decent size and served with your typical buffalo hot wing sauce. They were hot and juicy and still crispy. The buffalo sauce did not make the wings soggy and only added the heat/spice and flavor. The buffalo sauce they use and the way they cook their wings is pretty delicious. These wings would be ideal for a long football game. GOOD/EXCELLENT

2. House-Made Porter BBQ- The BBQ wings were probably more popular on the table since the majority of people tend to lean towards BBQ wings when given a choice. I would say these wings were also cooked very well, and were a decent size wing to eat. I am not so sure I could taste any of the porter in the BBQ sauce but overall I did like the sauce on the wings. It wasn’t too sweet and had some tang to it. GOOD

Just to reiterate that Mad Fox Brewing Co. has an excellent selection of beers if you are down for a tasting, or just a drinking! The other food items we purchased and ate were exceptionally good for a place that is known to have great beer. I love a restaurant that has great drinks but also follows up with great food.

damn, I didn't realize... I am sure I will be out there more now that the weather is getting nice and they will be tapping more kegs. I will be DD for friends since me and beer are not friends (f-you migraines!)
