I LOVE wings and I will be sharing different experiences at restaurants, dive bars, eateries and other food locations who serve WINGS in the Washington, D.C. area. I love wings and I hate when they are bad. This is just my personal opinion on what wings are out there in the metropolitan area. All wings are rated on a scale: NEVER AGAIN, FAIR, GOOD, EXCELLENT.

Caddies on Cordell
4922 Cordell Ave. Bethesda, MD
GOOD
I usually don’t like to travel too much outside of the D.C. boundaries. However I have been told by many that I need to try more wing places up in Bethesda and to especially check out Caddies on Cordell. I went out to Bethesda to meet up with Hilary and try the wings. I have had them one other time on a journey to Bethesda but this was before my wing blog was created. When I got there I thought I remember liking the wings but wasn’t positive. Between Hilary and I we split 4 flavors among 24 wings which were the following:
1. Old Bay- I do really have a special place in my heart that belongs to wings and crabs. If I could combine the two into one meal that would ideal, hence my search for the perfect Old Bay wing. So far these Old Bay wings are pretty darn good in the DC area. I have found the way to get the BEST Old Bay wing is to cook the wings in butter and then cover them in the Old Bay seasoning. If Caddies used butter to cook the wings these would be the top rated Old Bay wings ever! GOOD
2. Hot- These were your typical basic buffalo wing. Not my favorite buffalo style but still good. They could have been made so much tastier if they were crispy. These wings are decent enough that you could go and order a ton for a game and eat them for hours. However they are not my favorite so now when I go back it would not be my wing of choice. OK/GOOD
3. Garlic Parmesan- These were a little odd and I have to say I couldn’t really taste either the garlic or the parmesan coming through on the wings. You could see there were little chunks of something on the wings, but in my book chunks of ANYTHING is never appealing. NEVER AGAIN
4. Sweet BBQ- Hilary really liked these, but she also likes BBQ wings typically. I not usually the one to choose a BBQ wing off a menu thought these were pretty decent. The sauce was sweet but not overbearing and you could taste a hint of pepper and smoky flavors in the mix. These were pretty good for a Sweet BBQ wing. GOOD
Over all the size of the wings at Caddies is great. The wings are large and meaty. The one thing they need to do is perfect how some wings are cooked and maybe change/tweak some of the flavors they currently have
