Nationals Park
FAIR/GOOD
Nationals Park has revamped some of their food vendors this year. Many people are stoked about Shake Shack but I on the other hand was excited to hear that Blue Smoke was there since they offer BBQ and WINGS! During a girls night out at the park I decided I had to give Blue Smoke a try even though they are astronomically priced, like everything else at the ballpark. I ordered the wings which cost $10 and you get six wings in your little container. I can’t complain too much about the price here because everything is inflated at the ballpark. The flavor of the bbq buffalo sauce is pretty tasty. It has a tangy, smoky bite to them but not spicy with a little sweetness. Pretty much any ball game goers would enjoy the sauce on these wings. The wings themselves when they come out are not fried up and crispy and are more soggy and sticky. They also sit in a cardboard box so the steam from the hot wings probably makes them soggier then they would be if served at the restaurant. I would like to compare the baseball style wings to the way they are served at the restaurant but Blue Smoke is located in New York so I won’t be trying them any time soon. I did rate them FAIR/GOOD because I wish they were not as soggy and that I had more to enjoy, however there are no other wings in the stadium to compare these too.
