Adams Mill Bar & Grill

1813 Adams Mill Rd NW

GOOD

Adams Mill Bar & Grill located at the top of 18th street looking over the drunken debacle of Adams Morgan has been reported by some (Ryan H.) to have the best wings in all of D.C., not just Admo, but the entire city. I decided one day all by my lonesome self to take a run up to Adams Morgan with only my ID, SmarTrip, credit card, house keys and of course my Adams Mill “what’s the deal” coupon strapped to my back. After my nice little run I had worked up a great big appetite for these so called “best wings in D.C.”.

I waited, not too long, for the wings… and a side salad to come… okay okay okay. I lied. Most of you know the coupon was for $25.00. I got TWO orders of wings and regular size salad. Don’t judge, I had to get my full coupon worth! So when the wings came out I made sure to open the box to get the first good smell of these so called “best” wings. I was definitely shocked… and not in a good way. The look of these wings are not appetizing at all! So I quickly closed my food and walked off to the circulator where I could eat the wings and take note of the flavor.

I will admit carrying two containers of wings and one container of salad definitely got me some looks on the circulator, since you could smell the spicy buffalo sauce from the container, and yes I even said to the gentleman next me… “sorry, I ordered a lot of wings for dinner.” He ignored me, I know he was just jealous of the amount of wings I got. :o) When I got home and began to eat the wings I will have to admit they taste a whole lot better than they look. They are nice a meaty and are a good size wing. I will have to say they are pretty cheap on the celery and carrots. They gave me one of each, WTF… was I breaking their bank with e carrots and celery… come on two pieces that was odd. But the wings themselves were tangy, spicy and just right. Were they to the caliber of “the best in D.C.” no, were they EXCELLENT, no… I would say they were good and I would probably get them again but they were not the best in D.C. and I have a feeling I can find better in Admo, sorry to all you Adams Mill lovers.
