FAIR, GOOD
Asylum has some great food and very eclectic menu. I went there with my cousin Jen to get wings which they have a wing deal for $.50 a wing minimum 6 wing purchase. They have three options of wings to choose from X, XX and XXX. So of course there is no way I am going to order just 6 wings, I mean come on I came to get my wing eating on. My one fail of the night was I had chapped lips which always are a downer when you are eating hot wings! I decide to go with an order of 6 XXX and 6 of another, the waitress said, “how about X, the XXX is hot.” Who is she kidding she had no clue that I love hot wings! So I went with the X and XXX so I could compare the difference in hot and extreme hottest. I decided to get one with ranch and one with blue cheese. Though I really couldn’t tell the difference between the two dressings which is really quite weird. The wings came out and they were nice and meaty and I have to say the XXX was hot but not unbearable, They had a very good spice heat to them but you could still get flavor with the burn it left. The X was also hot, so if you can’t deal with any heat in a chicken wing Asylum might not be the place for you. They do have good heat in the hot wings and decent sized. They don’t jip you during their wing specials and give you the shitty small wings they have. Next time I go I want to try their vegan wings just to say I have had a vegan wing for all my vegetarian friends out there, who support the blog and would come to get wings with me, we can go get wings here!
I gave the rating of fair and good because they were in between the both. They were not that great to be GOOD but not so bad the be FAIR. I would definitely go again and get their wings which are nice and spicy I just like the spicy hot heat with not so much goooo, the goo makes them soggy and I HATE soggy wings... giving them the rating between fair and good, some wings were soggy some were not.
