Nanny O'Brien's

3319 Connecticut Ave NW
Washington DC, 20008

Scale: Never Again , Good, Excellent (they have different kinds)

You will need to attend during their wing night specials which are every Wednesday. Wings are $.25 each. They have a number of options but make sure you choose the RIGHT option. Stay away from the Sweet and Spicy wings unless you like the “WTF is this sweet and nasty after taste” flavor. Their Jamaican Jerk wings (which I think is what they were but I could be mistaken and it could have been the Bourbon Street... I am heading back and will let every one know) are definitely messy and covered in a great sauce that has a wonderful spicy kick to it. If you like a dry rub wing they have an excellent MD style wing which is covered in crab seasoning, not sure how they cook the wing but the best MD style wing I had was fried in butter then covered in crab seasoning. A good Maryland style wing is hard to find and I will definitely come back to N O'B's for this one. My ultimate FAVORITE wing to have in all of D.C. so far is the Cherry Pepper wings which are a wing covered in a semi sweet sauce then covered in diced up cherry peppers, the perfect combo of sweet and spicy. I also tend to not like wings that have a sweet taste to them but these are delicious! They have a Nuclear wing which I have yet to try and I assume is their hottest in spice and I look forward to trying soon. I would say go with a group, go early to get a table and you could try all the different types they offer.
